Classic Italy     8 Days - 6 Nights   Saturday Departures Arrival ROME, Departure VENICE Day 1 - Depart U.S.A. - Overnight on your Alitalia flight to Rome. Day 2 - ROME - Our assistant will meet you at Rome's Fiumicino airport. Then you will be transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax or visit the city and enjoy the enchanting scenery. Overnight at the hotel. Day 3 - ROME Continental breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast a guided half-day tour of the monuments of Rome. You will visit the beautiful Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica. Lunch on your own. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Day 4 - Rome - Assisi - Siena - FLORENCE -Departure from ROME to FLORENCE via ASSISI and SIENA. Visit the mystic town of Saint Francis still surrounded by the ancient walls. Narrow streets open to the beautifulBasilica of Saint Francis with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue; then proceed on to SIENA, the beautiful medieval city renowned for the Palio. Then to FLORENCE. Dinner in a local restaurantand overnight at the hotel. Day 5 - FLORENCE - Buffet breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour visiting the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the “David” by Michelangelo, and Santa Croce’s church. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight. Day 6 - Florence - Padua - VENICE - Buffet breakfast. Departure for VENICE via PADUA, where you will visit the Cathedral of St. Anthony. Continue on to VENICE and upon arrival enjoy a guided walking tour of the city to see the Basilica and St.Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs and then a visit to a glass factory. Dinner and overnight. Day 7 - Venice - Buffet breakfast. Day at leisure for optional tours or for shopping. Dinner and overnight.Overnight at the hotel. Day 8 - VENICE - U.S.A. - Continental breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own to Marco Polo airport for your departure flight.
